Mental Health Awareness Week activities raise £2,500

01

Congratulations to our teams who baked, talked, listened, drank tea, exercised, walked, entered competitions, raffled and ate lots of cake during Mental Health Awareness Week.

Our efforts raised £2,500 for construction’s very own Lighthouse Charity!

The biggest contributor to the final amount was a raffle organised by Site Services with some amazing prizes. The Munro team held a guess the baby competition, IBMS had a Desert Island favourites quiz, B&K Hybrid Structures enjoyed an early summer walk around Darley Park in Derby, BDU baked and baked and Head Office-based staff took part in a fun (if a little sweaty!) exercise class.

All fun stuff but with a serious message, which was relayed on many of our sites across the UK via mental health standdowns giving everyone time to stop, listen and consider their mental health.

We have almost 300 Mental Health First Aiders across the Group on hand to help anyone who is struggling and there are plenty of resources available to our staff through our partnership with the Lighthouse Charity and our We Care platform.
