At Bowmer + Kirkland we are following guidance from the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), Public Health England (PHE) and the Government.

We are continuing to assess all our sites on an individual basis for their safety. Where it is becoming increasingly impossible to maintain at least two metres distance between operatives and safety and welfare on site is in danger of diminishing, we will shut down those sites.

If people cannot get to site whilst complying with PHE social distancing guidance, then they should not do this.  If we do not have the correct number and type of people on site to safely undertake works, then we will not do it – and even if there are sufficient numbers and types of people to undertake works safely, but this cannot be done in compliance with PHE guidance, then the works will not be done.

Wherever possible, we are maintaining normal business operations and supporting all our staff – both operational and administrative – with extensive remote working capabilities to ensure they can continue working in their usual manner.

For our sites that do remain open, our teams are liaising closely with sub-contractors and suppliers to monitor the flow of labour and materials.

If a case of Covid-19 is confirmed on any of our sites, we will follow cleaning regime guidance issued by the Government which recommended leaving affected areas isolated for 72 hours, then specific cleaning and safe removal of waste.

Be assured we are taking the health and safety of our staff, contractors, clients, visitors and residents living near our sites very seriously.
