Coronavirus – our response to Covid-19

We continue to be open for business during this challenging period.

We have been and continue to assess all our construction sites on an individual basis, to ascertain that conditions are suitable and safe for our staff and sub-contractors to continue working.

Our Health and Safety department has been working hard to ensure measures are in place with strict adherence to government, Public Health England (PHE) and Construction Leadership Council (CLC) guidelines.

As a financially stable and secure Group of Companies, we have all the necessary business continuity procedures aligned to enable us to maintain all our business practices – including where staff are working from home.

The Government is keen that businesses, other than those specifically singled out for temporary closure, should continue to operate and “keep the country going.”

The Secretary of State for Business, Alok Sharma MP, wrote an open letter in which he paid tribute to the construction industry for supporting “a joint national effort.”

After a thorough evaluation process and, ensuring we stick to the strong guidelines we have in place, most of our construction sites are open and working.

At all times the safety of our staff and those working for us is paramount. We are ensuring that all PHE and CLC guidelines are followed and our project managers are liaising closely with sub-contractors, suppliers and client teams to monitor the flow of labour and materials to site and look to mitigate any potential project delays wherever possible.

We are supporting all our staff – both operational and administrative – with extensive remote working capabilities to ensure they can continue supporting you in their usual manner. So far, this is working extremely well, and all operations that have been undertaken remotely have been successfully completed.

Should we have a case of Covid-19 confirmed on any of our sites or in any of our offices, we will follow cleaning regime guidance issued by the Government which recommends leaving affected areas isolated for 72 hours, then specific cleaning and safe removal of waste.

Be assured we continue to take the health and safety of our staff, contractors, clients, visitors and residents living near our sites very seriously and will issue further updates when necessary.
