Leading the way in support of greater diversity in construction

We are supporting the Inspire Me campaign championed by Construction News. It aims to redress the gender imbalance in the construction industry and to encourage and support women into senior positions.

Bowmer + Kirkland is one of a number of UK construction companies and organisations who were at the Inspire Me launch event this week. The guests were addressed by Construction News Editor, Tom Fitzpatrick, who said: “The principle aim of this campaign is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to advance their careers to senior positions withi the construction sector.

A number of events will be held this year aimed at giving women a voice and will feature workshops, a conference, special reports in Construction News and articles by prominent women in the industry.

Bowmer + Kirkland Chairman, John Kirkland, said: “We are supporting the Inspire Me campaign because we believe passionately that more women should be part of our exciting and rewarding industry. We employ women in a variety of roles across our business – many of whom are excelling in their field.

“The industry must do more to encourage diversity and we are delighted to support the Inspire Me campaign.”
