This project is situated on the site of the old Dock Company warehouse and was designed to breathe new life into the coastal town of Seaham. This scheme also involved the relocation of Seaham Angling Club and Seaham Scouts into two new purpose built sites. Byron place is the centrepiece of the Seaham Town Centre redevelopment and now houses tenants including Asda (in a 42,000 sq. ft. food unit), Argos, Wilkinsons, Greggs, Farm Foods, and Park Lane Cards.
Councillor Rob Crute, District of Easington Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, described the project as 'a prestigious development that will provide excellent shopping facilities in a quality environment, transforming the local landscape'.
