Value: £87m
Completion date: Feb. '10
Contract period: 103 weeks

The overall scope of the project is to redevelop a large part of the Nottingham Trent University’s City Centre Campus.

The scheme involves the construction of a contemporary concrete framed, glass vaulted central court building designed by Hopkins Architects. The central court links two grade II* listed buildings, Newton and Arkwright both of which have undergone a full refurbishment to the Conservation Planners exacting requirements.

The high quality internal fit out offers students extensive learning space, a range of lecture theatres of different sizes, state of the art conference facilities and social learning space.

“We found that Bowmer & Kirkland Limited to be very positive in their approach to the challenges of the project, promoting solutions and adopting a real sense of ownership. Bowmer & Kirkland Limited are a very Client focused company and are able to adapt to any project changes demanded of them and we are pleased to regard them as partners on this development. Their Project Team of construction professionals adopt an open, proactive, non-adversarial approach to their work and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any similar scheme.”
