The construction of an insitu concrete framed six storey building, forming three wings with approximately 6,000 sq m gross floor area.

The area of the site on the corner of Hanover Way and Leavygreave Road is being developed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the University's History and English departments, and the School of Modern Languages and Linguistics.
The departments will each occupy a 'leg' of the new building, with shared facilities available to them around the central core. A café will be located on the ground floor of the new building and will be open to all.
The new Campus Visitor Centre will also be located in the building, providing a one-stop-shop for visitor enquiries.
Sustainability is the watch word for the new development, with a range of environmentally friendly elements built into the design including a bio-diverse green roof covering.
