Fourth generation appointed to Board of Bowmer & Kirkland

 

 

 

In these difficult times the Bowmer & Kirkland Group of Companies is looking to the future with the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors to the Board.

Jack Kirkland (28) and Michael Kirkland (29) will be the fourth generation of the family to become Directors of the company. Jack is the son of Chairman, John Kirkland and Michael is the son of Robert Kirkland.

John Kirkland said: “I am delighted to be able to make these appointments, demonstrating as they do continued family commitment to our Group of Companies and I know these two young men will bring energy, determination and enquiring minds to our Board.”

 After obtaining his Modern History degree from Oxford University, Jack went on to graduate from BPP Law School before working for the international law firm, Lovells.

Now a Director of Abstract Select, in addition to other Directorships and Consultancies, Jack oversees a range of projects and investments from real estate to art and venture capital.

 Michael completed his degree in French Studies at the University of Sheffield and also gained an MSC in Property Appraisal and Management.

A Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he is currently employed as a Senior Surveyor at CB Richard Ellis, one of the world’s leading commercial real estate advisers, where he has provided direction and advice for many clients.

 Jack’s sister, Sarah Congiu, is Bowmer & Kirkland’s PR Manager and joined the company five years ago. In 1992-3 she completed a National Council for the Training of Journalists Newspaper Journalism course and went on to work for a number of newspapers, including The European. A Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, she now oversees PR for the Group.
