Associate Directors appointed at B&K

 

 

 

Five Bowmer & Kirkland employees have been appointed Associate Directors in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the company.

Ed Besford, Neil Brook, Ian Dennis, Carl Stirland and Paul Sykes have all demonstrated a high degree of leadership and level of commitment and have been rewarded for their efforts.

Ed Besford (36) is based in the North East and joined B&K in 1992 as a Junior Quantity Surveyor.

His experience includes work in the North East and Scotland and he is now the Area Surveyor responsible for a team of surveyors.

Neil Brook (40) joined B&K in 1989 as a Senior Site Engineer. He progressed to Contracts Manager responsible for a variety of sites in the North West of England and Wales.

He is now part of our Special Projects team and is the Project Director on a £60m scheme at Colmore Plaza in Birmingham.

Ian Dennis (46) joined as a Senior Surveyor in 1998 and is based in London. He has experience of projects ranging from £50,000 to £37m and in 2002 became a Managing Surveyor with responsibility for a team of 15-20 staff.

Carl Stirland (38) started with B&K as an IT Support Technician in 1992 and is now the Director of IT for the Group.

He has been instrumental in the introduction and development of IT systems across the company. Carl is a Chartered Engineer and has Honours and Masters Degrees in Computing.

Paul Sykes (33) is based in the Midlands and joined B&K in 1997 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

He has a vast range of experience on a large number of projects and is currently the Managing Surveyor on B&K’s largest ever project the £135m Eurocentral Business Park in Glasgow.
