Following graduation from UMIST, Robert worked in London for eight years as a Site Engineer, progressing to a Contracts Manager with Bovis.
He joined Bowmer & Kirkland in 1975, becoming a Director in 1976 and has been involved in all forms of construction.
Aside from his role at Bowmer & Kirkland, Robert has been a Local Director with Coutts, Chairman of the Prince's Trust, Derbyshire and is currently a governor of Repton School.
Robert is married with two sons.
When not working, his interests include horse racing, golf, wine and supporting Derby County Football Club.
