Bowmer & Kirkland recognise the importance of protecting our environment for ourselves and future generations. We understand that to achieve this we need to consider the environmental impact of our operations on the local area along with the contribution made to national and global problems. As part of our Integrated Management System an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is prepared for all of our fixed locations and construction projects undertaken by Bowmer & Kirkland. The EIA identifies what is in the local area which may be affected by our operations, for example local residents and watercourses, and the contribution our operations may make to wider issues, for example depletion of natural resources and global warming. The EIA also identifies legislation which applies to our operations and the controls required to ensure we meet legal requirements, prevent pollution and minimise the effect we have the local environment and contribution to wider issues.
